‘Kadal’ is good versus evil pitted against a love story set in a coastal Christian fishing community down south. Cinematography, music and performances by debutant Gautham and erstwhile Arjun scores in the otherwise shallow film. Mani is sadly missed and Arvind Swami’s comeback is tepid.
