And so it goes

Seated at a dinner table earlier tonight, hosted by newly weds.. my gaze kept shifting from the hot briyani placed in front of me and the chicken on my plate to the couple. Trust me, that is quite something!

We were an odd group seated around the table, from young bachelors to old. You get it, right? And married couples of few years and more. Not to forget the young girl who kept sneaking a look at her phone concealed in the palm of her hand, waiting for it to vibrate. I assumed, from her boyfriend probably! Well, this is not about her, so let me get back on track.

The newly weds seemed to be putting on a show.. ‘Happily Ever After’. Like that exists! Every now and then they would look at each other.. smile, brush each other lightly on the arm and blush secretly. I bet their legs were doing the tango underneath the table! It was getting annoying after a point, that I started to focus on my plate.

The other guests had this expression on their faces, “What is it that they have, that we don’t?”. Only I was happy with my briyani and content with my third helping!
